The Bengough Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in Great Britain which is open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Ascot over a distance of 6 furlongs (1,207 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in October.
The event was formerly held at Newmarket, and it used to be called the Bentinck Stakes. It was named in honour of Lord George Bentinck (1802–1848), who was a successful racehorse owner. For a period the race was contested over 5 furlongs, and it was classed at Listed level. It was extended to 6 furlongs in 1993, and promoted to Group 3 status in 2003.
The race was transferred to Ascot in 2008, and at the same time it was given a new title, the Bengough Memorial Stakes. This was in memory of Sir Piers Bengough (1929–2005), who served as Her Majesty's Representative at Ascot from 1984 to 1997. In 2011 the word "Memorial" was dropped from the race title.
